Rocky Trail’s Fox Superflow, sealed by Stan’s is one of the original enduro-style gravity racing series in Australia. All events of the series are stand-alone races and participants can collect points for an overarching series classification. The next event will be held on 5 August at Jolly Nose, just South of Port Macquarie on the home trails of the Hastings Valley MTB Club! These guys live and breathe #enduro, so you’re in for an absolute treat!
Jolly Nose Mountain Bike Park is located in Queens Lake State Forest Bonny Hills. The park boasts approximately 50km of single track mountain bike trails for both enduro & cross country mountain bike riding. Managed by the Forestry Corporation those trails are everything Superflow trails should be, we think! Camping is allowed at this venue.
If you have already signed up, it’s awesome to have you on board! Still one the fence? Online registrations are open until Friday evening before race day! Should we be getting close to selling out, we will communicate it via our website and our social media platforms.
The venue – Jolly Nose MTB Park
Jolly Nose MTB Park is looked after by the Hastings Valley MTB Club who have invited us to race on their brand-new trail network – opened mid-2017! It’s managed by the Forestry Corporation.
There will be three race tracks and one of them you’ll need to complete twice, so four runs in total and combined race times count! Remember, you can choose the order in which you do your race runs – no start order, no worries!
Camping is allowed at this venue.

The surrounds – accommodation options
We’ve had a few inquiries about accommodation near the venue – the trails are located between Queens Lake/Bonney Hills and Lake Cathie, both towns have holiday parks for camping and with cabins (see links below). Other than that, we’d recommend you visit the Port Macquarie Tourism website for hotels and motels close-by – Port Macquarie is about half an hour drive from the event centre. We jumped on AirBnB and got a little apartment in Bonney Hills.
The racing – a social affair
The Fox Superflow events, sealed by Stan’s are unique Australia-wide! They are enduro-style gravity races, based on the European and North American formats, HOWEVER, at Rocky Trail there are:
(1) No Start Orders – you can ride with your friends, kids and partners together all day, even if they are in a different age/skill category
(2) No Worries – you pick the sequence of race tracks, the timing points are all LIVE as soon as the racing starts
Because the race tracks are picked by the Rocky Trail crew so that they give the riders that “super flowy” feeling! Each timed section demands different skill sets of the riders – from tricky sections around rocks and tight corners to flowy berms and quick stints that needed pedal power and endurance.
Almost all events require riders to ride to the starts on their bikes (but not for this event in Thredbo!) and it that way the series offers a big variety of trails. All our trails can be as tough as you want them to be – there are always different line choices and generally, the faster and the harder you go, the more challenging they get. We specifically pick our venues to meet those requirements.
No start order, no worries – Spend all day together!
They are unique Australia-wide in that we can offer an awesome day out to a wide range of riders – from elite to amateur racers to families, couples and groups of friends riding together. We have introduced a very flexible timing system so our events don’t require any start orders and riders can pick the sequence in which to complete the timed race stages themselves. That way, riders of different categories can spend all day riding and racing together!
The race tracks will be marked all day Saturday for inofficial practice.
Note, no shuttles allowed on Sunday/Race Day!
On Sunday, pick up your race plate from 8am, practice from 9am, racing from 11am-3pm.
The atmosphere in our event centre is friendly, happy and inclusive and you will see that Martin is very much in charge. We have been working with most of our suppliers for years – from first aiders to marshals to caterers to photographers, it is our top priority for you to have an amazing time out on your bike and to lend a helping (and rescuing) hand if need be.
Will be available LIVE during the race – we’ll try our hardest to push all results to the website right away. Ourimbah is a bit of a challenge, as the club downhill finish for instance is out of reception, but we will place our timing gear so that we can transmit data as consistently as possible. Fingers crossed!! It should all work out and you can click through to the results portal via this link:
Food & Drinks
We were able to secure a coffee van to be on-site on Sunday morning, who will serve hot drinks as well as a range of muffins.
Additionally the local Lions Club will be having a breakfast and lunch BBQ for you.
We will have the crew from MONDRAKER Australia on-site to assist you with mechanicals.

Introducing in 2018: winning number plates!
Each winner at every 2018 race will get a pre-assigned and pre-printed number plate, which you can keep and race with for the rest of the series! It’s your exclusive race number(s) that will be reserved for you across the entire series! You can use this plate at any series event throughout the year (even if you miss a round) – we’ll try to assign as many as possible automatically when putting together the rider lists and you can also enter ‘your’ race number when you sign up online. You can also always tell us when you come to rego on race day and we can update the rider list.
